most hurted event

Recently I went to district town to meet my relative. On the way to my relative’s house, I decided to visit the local head office of our company. As one of my colleague, with whom I worked nearly 7 years, has recently got promotion and posted at that office. Few days before I told her that I might go to that town in January and might visit her office. Though the head office is not in the same direction of my relative house, but just to surprise her I took this chance and went there. After reaching the office premises, I inquired about her department and finally reached there. I noticed that she was busy with some office work with one of her colleague. I went straight and stood before her table. As she was busy with the computer, so she didn’t notice me at first but her colleague noticed me and look at me with a question mark on his face. Sensing someone standing before her then she noticed me and greeted me and I told her why I am coming. When I took a nearby seat and then my ex-colleague introduced me to her senior (the other person was her immediate superior) with lot of good words and also told me that now she is learning under his supervision. Then her colleague asked me whether I was from her past branch or not. I said that I was from different office and said my designation, which is two steps lower than his cadre. Then he asked that why I came to bardwan. In replay I told him in very friendly manner that bardwan was my birth place and I came to my relative house. Again he asked me the location of my relative’s house. I told him the name. Then he asked me a peculiar question, “that location (my relative’s house) is some other area then why are you here?” I didn’t expect this type of question from him as he already knew that I was an employee of the same company and worked with his subordinate. So it’s natural that I come to visit her in her new assignment. Specially when he told me – “your relative’s house is some other direction then why are you here?” it means that he question my presence at that office. Or instead of going straight to my relative’s house I went there with some bad intention. Otherwise no normal person ever asked this type of question to any newly introduced person, who actually not related with him. This manner-less word instantly made me angry, sad and humiliated. I lost my logical sense and gave him a murmur replay. I was so angry that I could be burst out in any moment but my logical sense told me that I should control my anger and leave that place as early as possible. Otherwise if I burst out then my ex-colleague might face awkward situation due to my behavior – which was actually not good for a newly promoted employee. So within minutes I left the place with utter humiliation. The fact which hurt most in this event was that my ex-colleague didn’t utter a single word after listening those abusive words from her senior!!!!!!!!!
I still don’t know why I was humiliated in that manner and why she didn’t tell anything for me.
